Barratt Homes and Bloor Homes North West are delighted to be bringing forward plans for up to 600 new homes on land south of Holt Road in Wrexham. We believe that our plans offer an exciting opportunity to provide much needed new homes and cater for our growing community. Wrexham is more than a place, it is an identity. Everyone recognises the pressures of the housing market. Whether you are a first-time buyer, a growing family or looking to downsize, it may seem like options are limited. We need to build new homes, but these must be the right homes, delivered in the right place for the community.
The Authority’s emerging Local Development Plan identifies a need to deliver at least 8,525 new homes in the area across the next decade. Land south of Holt Road has been identified as suitable for the development of much needed new homes in the area by Wrexham County Borough Council.
The identified land, which forms part of the wider Cefn Road allocation, can deliver up to 1,680 homes. However, Barratt Homes and Bloor Homes North West are bringing forward plans for up to 600 homes on the land that we control which is located to the north of the allocation. Our plans look to meet local need by delivering up to 600 new homes in a variety of sizes and styles, including affordable homes.

Our consultation will run until Friday, 5th October and we want to hear your views throughout this time. Following the end of the consultation, Barratt Homes and Bloor Homes North West will review all comments received and incorporate feedback provided into the final plans, where possible, before submitting a planning application over the coming months.
